12 ways of protesting in Iran

There are thousands ways to protest for freedom and justice which the brave iranians, hondurans and uygurs have reminded us of this summer. Here are 12 examples taken from Iran. They are all taken from the last week only. They reflect the latest development in Iran of which I give a summary in the end of this post.

A short summary of the latest happenings

Mourning for Neda 40 days after her death turns in to protest. Police attack mourners and arrest at least 50, some released later

Iran releases 140 post-election prisoners

100 reformists face trial, condemned by the iranian protest. Mousavi say they confess after torture

Camp Ashraf, an iraqi camp for iranian dissidents from Mujaheddin Khalq, gets attacked by the iraqi regime, a regime supported by iranian regime. Eight people gets killed, many more wounded.

US make new threats 1 and 2

Khamenei to approve Ahmadinejad as election winner. On Wednesday the President will take the oath of office before Iran’s parliament. This will surely lead to new protests.
